No points yet. The first bid on tonight's wall opens the table.

How points work

1
per lot you bid on. Once per lot, however many times you bid on it.
+1
if one of your bids on that lot lands in its final hour, 4 to 5 PM Pacific.
+1
for every night you bid on at least one lot. Seven nights is seven points before you count a lot.
10
a night, tops. After that the night is full.

Points come from bidding, never from spending. Ties go to more nights bid on, then whoever reached the score first, then more lots won and paid for.

The fine print

  • You need a saved card to score. Bidding already asks for one.
  • Win the Cup and you sit out six weeks so someone else gets a turn. Your bids still count on the table.
  • A win you don't pay for voids that night's points. Two in a week and the week is void for you.
  • Two accounts on one card are one entrant. Cancelled bids never count. The studio never plays.
  • Every point is public here with the lot that earned it. Rules change only on a Monday, never midweek.
  • Prefer not to be named? Turn off the table in settings; you still score, shown as “a collector”.
  • The full official rules are below. No purchase necessary; void where prohibited.

Official rules

The Sabet Cup · a weekly contest of participation · rules effective September 7, 2026. Changes take effect only at the start of a week.

  1. No purchase necessary. Placing a bid on sabet.com is free. Points are earned only by placing bids, never by winning a lot or by spending money. Winning a lot is a separate purchase that does not add points. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning the Cup.
  2. Sponsor. Sabet Studio, operator of sabet.com (“Sabet”), hello@sabet.com. The Cup is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, Apple, Google, Stripe, or Printful.
  3. Eligibility. Open to registered Sabet members who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction) at the time of entry, with a saved payment method and shipping address on file, which Sabet already requires to bid. Employees and contractors of Sabet and members of their households are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Sabet ships the prize worldwide; the winner is responsible for any import duties or taxes in their country.
  4. Contest period. Each Cup week runs from Sunday at 5:00 PM Pacific to the following Sunday at 5:00 PM Pacific, as shown on this page. The first week runs from September 5, 2026 to Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM Pacific. Bids placed outside a week’s window count toward the week in which they are placed.
  5. How to enter. Place a bid on any live auction lot on sabet.com during the contest period. Every eligible member who places a bid is automatically entered; there is no separate form. Bids cancelled by the bidder or voided by Sabet do not count.
  6. Scoring. One point for each distinct lot you bid on during a night (a night is a lot’s 24-hour auction, Pacific time); one additional point if at least one of your bids on that lot is placed within its final 60 minutes; one point for each night on which you place at least one bid; a maximum of 10 points per night. A lot is credited to the night of your first bid on it.
  7. Winner determination. The eligible entrant with the most points when the week closes wins. Ties are broken, in order, by: more distinct nights with a bid; the earlier time at which the final score was reached; more lots won and paid for during the week. This is a contest of participation; there is no random drawing and no element of chance.
  8. Prize. One (1) gallery canvas print of the week’s announced painting, approximately 20 × 30 inches or the closest standard size that fits the artwork, edition of one, with a numbered certificate of authenticity, shipped free to the winner’s address on file. Approximate retail value (ARV) is as stated on this page for the week, currently $3,850. No cash or credit substitution. Sabet may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the announced painting becomes unavailable. The prize is a print made for the winner; it is not the original artwork.
  9. Notification and delivery. The winner is named on this page and notified by email at the close of the week. The prize ships to the shipping address on the winner’s account. If no valid address is on file, the winner has seven (7) days from notification to add one; otherwise the prize passes to the next eligible entrant. Allow two to three weeks for printing and delivery.
  10. One win per six weeks. A member who wins the Cup is not eligible to win again for the following six weeks. Their bids still count on the public table.
  11. Conduct and disqualification. One account per person. Accounts sharing a payment card are treated as one entrant. Sabet may disqualify any entrant who uses multiple accounts, automated tools, or collusion, who fails to pay for two or more lots won in a week, or who otherwise violates the sabet.com Terms. Bids placed faster than one per lot every five seconds are rejected.
  12. Taxes. The winner is solely responsible for any federal, state, local, or foreign taxes on the prize. Where required by law, Sabet may request a taxpayer identification form before shipping and may report the prize value to tax authorities.
  13. Publicity and privacy. By entering, you agree that your Sabet username and point totals may be shown publicly on the Cup table and in Sabet’s emails and posts about the Cup. You may hide your username at any time in your account settings; you will then appear as “a collector” and remain eligible. Personal information is handled under the sabet.com Privacy Policy.
  14. General. Sabet’s determination of points, eligibility, and the winner is final. Sabet may suspend or cancel a week if technical failure, fraud, or any cause beyond its control affects the integrity of the contest; if a week is voided, no prize is awarded for it and the announced painting rolls to the following week. Sabet is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected communications, or for technical failures that prevent a bid from being recorded. To the extent permitted by law, entrants release Sabet from liability arising from participation or from acceptance or use of the prize. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
  15. Winners list. The name of each week’s winner appears on this page for the season. A written list may be requested by email to hello@sabet.com within 60 days of the week’s close.
